Dentist

Morehouse Community Medical Centers seeks an energetic full-time Dental Director. This position offers flexible hours. MCMC is a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site and all locations are considered a Dental Health Professional Shortage area. 

This position is for a motivated individual interested in building upon our SBHC program and building a dental practice in Marion, LA. The position will be challenging and fast-paced and will essentially allow the successful candidate to build his/her own practice from the ground up without all the expense. The Dental Director will be responsible to establish a dental program for the organization which includes a full range of dental services including school-based dental care.

The Dental Director must be willing to do basic school-based dental care, work on the mobile unit, rotate to dental clinic sites, and build a rural dental practice that is integrated with primary care and behavioral health.

This position is approximately 85% clinical and 15% administrative.

Site Manager (Bastrop)

Some duties include:

-Ensures adequate staffing coverage of administrative/clinic areas.
-Manages daily operations and program delivery of clinic site.
-Collaborates with care team for efficiency in scheduling, cancellations, etc.
-Implements, trains and supports staff on procedures, processes, etc.
-Implements processes to maximize resources and improve patient care.
-Supervises allocation of staff, resources, etc. and assignment of duties.
-Supervises and delegates support functions within the clinic site.
-Upholds policies, procedures, quality improvement, workplace safety, etc.
-Executes and maintains confidentiality of employee information.
-Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

SKILLS NEEDED

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) software. Athena preferred. Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in healthcare. Current RN/LPN license or Certified Medical Assistant. BLS certification.

Office Nurse (Monroe)

Monday-Thursday
7:30 am - 6:00pm

Some duties include:

- Performs and documents patient assessments (height, weight, blood pressure, reason for visit, etc.) adapting basic procedures to patient medical needs. 

- Triages, draws blood, OB/GYN exams. Prepares patients and rooms for physicals, sick visits and monitors patient flow. 

- Administers oral and/or IM medications as ordered by the physician / nurse practitioner.

- Assists providers with procedures as part of the clinical team. Performs selected nursing and administrative duties. Maintains strict confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Certificate or Associates Degree of Licensed Practical Nursing
EHR Experience preferred
Current LPN license
Current CPR certification

Facilities Coordinator

Exempt Position. Handles maintenance and emergencies for multiple buildings. Handles security systems at all MCMC sites. Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs, responds to urgent maintenance calls. Maintains plans for fire evacuation and disaster response. Responsible for periodic, scheduled assessments and inspections. Maintains inspection records. Works with vendors, contractors, suppliers, etc. Oversees Maintenance, Housekeeping, Emergency Preparedness. Maintains and updates policies, procedures and processes. Responsible for supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to balance, crawl, bend, stoop, walk, kneel, stand, sit, stretch, and climb. Ability to reach overhead and in front, lift and carry varying weights. Ability to push or pull up to 200 pounds. Must have current valid drivers license. Good driving record. Ability to travel independently and spontaneously to various sites.

SKILLS NEEDED

Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgement, decision making, problem solving and initiative. Builds strong internal and external relationships using effective verbal and written communication skills. Good project management and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree preferred. One year certificate from technical college. Minimum three years experience in Facilities Maintenance. Minimum one year experience in Safety & Emergency Preparedness.
