Family Nurse Practitioner (Bastrop)

Rotating 12-hour shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Screens patients to determine the need for medical attention.
- Reviews patient records to determine health status.
- Takes patient history and/or update patient history.
- Performs physical exams, comprehensive or problem focused.
- Initiates requests for lab and diagnostic studies.
- Performs clinical procedures according to policies and procedures.
- Arranges for or refers patients to needed services not provided at the clinic.
- Delegates duties permissible by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Keeps and maintains records relating to professional services rendered.
- Completes medical records documentation timely.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years experience as FNP
Current CPR certification
EHR experience preferred

Dentist

Morehouse Community Medical Centers seeks an energetic full-time Dental Director. This position offers flexible hours. MCMC is a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site and all locations are considered a Dental Health Professional Shortage area. 

This position is for a motivated individual interested in building upon our SBHC program and building a dental practice in Marion, LA. The position will be challenging and fast-paced and will essentially allow the successful candidate to build his/her own practice from the ground up without all the expense. The Dental Director will be responsible to establish a dental program for the organization which includes a full range of dental services including school-based dental care.

The Dental Director must be willing to do basic school-based dental care, work on the mobile unit, rotate to dental clinic sites, and build a rural dental practice that is integrated with primary care and behavioral health.

This position is approximately 85% clinical and 15% administrative.

Office Nurse (Float)

Some duties and responsibilities include:

- Patient assessments (height, weight, blood pressure, reason for visit, etc.).

- Prepare patients and rooms for physicals, sick visits and monitor patient flow.

- Triages, draws blood, gives injections, assists with OB/GYN exams.

- Administers oral and/or IM medications as ordered by the provider.

- Provides patient education.

- Maintains strict confidentiality.

Qualifications/Education:

- Must be computer literate. EHR experience preferred.
- Certificate or Associates Degree of Licensed Practical Nursing
- Current LPN license/Minimum 12 months experience Certified Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (Pediatrics)

PART-TIME

SBHC Receptionist (Union Parish High School)

SBHC Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, good communication and efficient clerical tasks performed in the clinic.

Some additional duties include:

  • Answers phone and transfers calls accordingly
  • Schedules appointment and recalls
  • Provides information to patients, clinical team and management
  • Handles queries from patients and parents/school office
  • Receives and sorts faxes
  • Scans and indexes medical records
  • Maintains receptionist and waiting area
  • Obtains billing information from students
  • Delivers superbills to billing department
  • Prepares and maintain student medical records
  • Admits students to SBHC with appropriate medical forms
  • Handles LA CHIP applications for students

SBHC Mental Health Provider (Union Parish High School)

START DATE JULY 15
7:00 am - 3:30 Monday - Friday

Mental Health Provider is responsible for implementing age appropriate educational programs, assessing problems and determining appropriate methods of treatment. The Mental Health Provider also implements interventions methodologies and functions in such areas as individual and group counseling, protective services and family consultations.

SOME DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assessments, planning, and implementation of psychosocial programs. 
  • Provides on-site evaluation of students referred to the SBHC clinic.
  • Ensures confidentiality of interviews, treatment and documentation. 
  • Prepares psychosocial educational materials as needed or required.
  • Coordinates with clinical school staff in the provision of services to patients. 
  • Provides referrals for services needed.
  • Files reports with social services agencies such as child protective services.
  • Acquires 20 hours of continuing education per year, which includes BLS.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • Nationally Certified Counselor
  • Licensed in State of Louisiana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor or other such licensed professional to providing counseling services
  • Current CPR certification
